Yes, it does come like a bolt of lightening, and it has to be caught right then, or, for me, it disappears. and it seems to come when I'm not "waiting for it," but doing something entirely unrelated. and then I have to stop, get a pencil or go the piano, and grab it immediately. There's a subtle little feeling when it's the lightening vs when it's me trying to be creative. Then I realize often that the "craft" part has to follow the bolt, cannot precede the bolt, or it's not the bolt, it's me pretending to be the bolt. So much richness!
